This fortress is one of the most well-preserved in the Americas, and it boasts of a long and storied history dating back

to the 17th century.

Its location at the highest point of St. Kitts made it an important strategic location, as it was able to protect the island from invasions by rival European powers.

Today, visitors to the park can explore the fortifications and learn about its fascinating history.

The views from the top are absolutely stunning, with panoramic vistas of the Caribbean Sea and neighbouring islands.

This charming boutique offers an inside look at the art of batik, a textile dyeing technique that has been a part of the island's culture for generations.

Founded in 1974, Caribelle Batik has been a source of inspiration for many artists and designers who come to study the techniques used by the local artisans.

The batik process involves drawing a design onto fabric with hot wax and then dyeing the fabric, creating a beautiful, one-of-a-kind pattern.

Visitors can take a tour of the workshop (we’ll book it for you) and watch the skilled artisans at work, as they create intricate designs using a variety of natural materials, including beeswax, cotton, and indigo dye.

In addition to its role as a cultural center, Caribelle Batik is also a social enterprise that supports local communities.
