World Cruise Wednesday Day 1: Ft. Lauderdale

We are starting in the fun city of Ft. Lauderdale.

A wonderful cruise port, with more then just beaches to offer.

My Pro Tip: Delay’s happen in travel. I recommend all my cruising clients fly into the city the night before. Not only will it save you stress, but it will give you a chance to experience the Ft. Lauderdale before embarkation.

Here are my 3 Top Experiences

1) Hop on the Cruising Tiki

This is an aptly named tiki bar that cruises down one of the many waterways. A great way to see the city, and feel like a local.

2) Flamingo Gardens

The Flamingo Gardens is a 60 acre Tropical Botanical Garden and Wildlife Sanctuary. Not only can you see it's name sakes here, but also alligators, turtles, bobcats, and peacocks, just to name a few.

3) Brunch at one of the many restaurants

Since you embark onto the ship in late afternoon, you have lot's a time to take in a delicious brunch. A few I recommend are The Foxy Brown, Jet Runaway Cafe, or Shooters Waterfront. They are all 4 1/2 stars on yelp, with great reviews. Yummy!

Now it's time to board the ship. We depart at 4pm!
